Saving the planet one day at a time

I am the planet destroyer. Well, not planets but this one planet and not me, acting alone like a Marvel or Star Wars villain, but me and billions of other me-like people, living normal lives like their neighbours and friends, striving to be good but simultaneously destroying the beautiful world we live in one coffee cup at a time. I don’t know why the horror I feel when watching David Attenborough showing the damage does not stop me in my tracks but I think I am waiting for “them” the rich, the powerful, governments and corporations to do something. It can’t be down to an irrelevant, average person like me to change, surely? Well, it looks like it is and donating a bit to Greenpeace and signing the odd petition is no longer enough. This is my journey to try to make tiny changes to my planet destroying ways – one baby step at a time.
